During a journey on this ropeway, guests may get a panoramic view of the whole city of Gangtok. The ropeway also helps to decongest the city since it allows people to travel between two regions of the city. The Ropeway cable car journey runs from Deorali to Tashiling in a continuous circle, with a halt at Namnang in the middle. You can board and depart wherever you like. It takes around 15 to 20 minutes to finish the full trip, which is roughly a kilometre long. The vehicle has a capacity of 24 passengers. Kuchipudi Lake – Wishing Lake
Kuchipudi Lake is 3,500 years old and is located at an elevation of 5,600 feet. The name Kuchipudi means ‘heavenly dwelling of Padmasambhava,’ a Buddhist guru from the eighth century who is often regarded as the second Buddha. Despite the fact that the lake is surrounded by dense vegetation, there are no leaves on the water’s surface. This is due to the avifauna swooping down and clearing the lake of leaves. Along the wooden jetty, prayer wheels lead to the bank of Kuchipudi Lake. Countless Tibetan prayer flags swirl in the breeze, making you feel as though you’ve entered a mystical realm. Kuchipudi Lake is also a Buddhist and Hindu pilgrimage destination. This lake is surrounded by a grove of broad-leaved temperate trees and bamboo, making it an ideal leisure place for Buddhist pilgrims.
